well big thanks to BWE Firearms, here locally to me, and also a member on an Uzi Forum i belong to he helped machine off the trigger guard/transfer bar setup. i could of done it, but he was a shitload quicker than i could of done it in a day, 5 minutes and he had the setup off, it would of probably taken me 30 minutes with my tools. he is also doing work on three other saigas from around the US, i would recommend him for saiga work, theres a reason he has a master gunsmith title.

i know im going to sound retarded, but does someone have a chart or a word of advice on which shells uses which setting, IE walmart stuff uses this setting, low recoil uses this setting, etc etc, IE idiots guide to tuning. even my first siaga confused me and would only go in single shot mode

hey guys, was reading, something about the vodka specials, well apparently my serial number was around what they put out, but i used a dental pick and felt three gas holes, is there suppose to be a 4th one as said in one thread or is the three visable gas holes perfectly ok.
-
well i tried fitting the promag into the saiga, and it wouldnt even fit into the magwell, aww crap.

well guys, as most of yall remember, i sold off my first converted saiga 12 for a nice hefty profit and bought me a jetski. well today i went to a gunshow as i go with a friend almost every weekend to go buy and sell guns and make some nice money on the side to fund my gun habit.
well im walking around with a springfield V10 factory ported stainless with trijicon sights in the small commander size with the 3.5 inch barrel, that i picked up for 400 back a year or two ago, was my carry weapon for a while till i got my XD45 this past week. well this thing "blue book bible" at 600 in 100% condition and they are going roughly for 700-800 on gunbroker for the past year or so. well im walking the show today (which sucked majorly cause everyone was trying to F everyone on prices majorly, )
so i got 30 or 40 tire kickers and Aholes trying to lowball me and i mean real lowball
well i see a buddy of mine trying to sell a high $$ AR and he tells me his buddy likes the type of gun i have, well i go over and talk to him and i quietly notice he has 2 saiga 12s sitting on his rack of guns. and he asks what i want for it, and i tell him ill trade him for the saiga 12. so i end up with a saiga 12 for the $400 i have invested in the V10. the guy across from him was a tapco dealer, so i pick up a SAW grip and ak grip nut for $25, a 10rd promag for $30, so now all i need is the G2 trigger group and muzzle end and figure what stock setup im going to use., he had a few designs from a company called DPH arms which i guess makes parts for saigas and ARs. hell he even had a new Tri rail setup for the front of the saiga 12 for $139.
one guy who had a saiga for 585 also had a wraithmaker drum for $499, which i passed on due to the price (arent they going for 3-350??)
i know im going to keep this one as its gonna be my mass weapon of fun

well the guy called me this morning, apparently he had been camping since tuesday, he said he would ship out my money tomorrow
pictures of welded on backplate?
in Saiga-12
Posted
hey guys, just ordered a tromix weldon backplate and DPH stock and waiting for them to come in. so i was wondering if a few of yall out there could take a few pictures of the welded in backplate that yall have. im having a friend at a FFL weld in the backplate for me with his tig.
i also had questions as to if the plate was buttwelded against the reciever or inset into the reciever, internally or externally welded(ie showing a bead or not), and how the tang was cut, ie is it flush against the backplate or is there a few MM's clearance between the two
