hey maybe yall can help me with this one since im new to the saigas
using the template that can be found on this saiga forum and on another site ( i believe its the same site, i think it has Conn in it), i layed out the marks for the hole to be located, using electronic calipers.
well fast forward to having the hole cut and hand filed to fit, dropping in with very little play( ie not sloppy a bit), i grabbed the grip nut, grip and screw from a romy G kit that i have in the safe that still has to be built. well i insert the grip nut with the proper orientation so that it sweeps back, i get the screw started in the threads and then proceed to tighten down the grip till it stops, what i noticed is that the more i screw it down the more it moves forward, almost on like a linear path. is it sitting this forward because i do not have a trigger guard for it to sorta push/fight against, or is the block maybe messing up, i assumed that it would sit properly clearing the trigger hole when completely screwed down, but right now when screwed down it looks to overlap by about an 1/8 or a 1/4 of the opening making me think the trigger is going hit the grip or am i just overthinking and this is normal? this is my first conversion so im going slow and checking everything twice
Decent soft case for the Saiga-12?

i use the 42" condor case, very discreet and MOLLE setup on the outside with a few pouches that buckle close. comes in black, tan, green, and even digi camo, they usually run about 40-50 but for all my ARs they have worked fine
