I'm no expert but I just converted my S12 to a Wooden laminated buttstock, hungarian I think. All I had to do was shave the sides and the bottom of the tennon a little to make it fit. Some styles of stock (folders) require replacement of the rear trunion to work but there are adapters to avoid this
