i love all the posts of how there is " NO POSSIBLE DOWNSIDE" other than wait lists ( which are indeed a mild annoyance) and the outrageous cost (2k for a saiga12 ??!?!?!?!?!?!)
but you have got to be constantly filing forms with the ATF, sorry but to like 95% of people thats a pretty serious downside. i don't exatly want to fax a road map to my house every few years to the ATF. i get the dealers who don't care because they are already on the super short list in terms of undesireables to be eliminated but how about the other 90 million gun owners

I have a Burris part number 410330 picatinny protector? I also have two fast fire II's, one is used had it on a glock. The other is new but I can't really tell which is which. I'll see if I can get some pic's

I actually had my order form in hand and a place number assigned. Then I waited for any "tangible" sign that this was going to happen, other than just happy talk. That sign never came. The fact that it never looked like he was going to sell out of the 200 gave me the confidence to hold back and I never sent my money. Needless to say, glad I waited..
same here. I ordered on from cheaper than dirt in March for 1109.89 runs bulkpack right out of the box. Has the siderail but not the gasblock rail. LRBHO and came with two 4 round magwell mags. I'm sure I can change the gasblock for less then 400$

what is that? I got one from cheaper then dirt a few weeks ago. Did a basic conversion and took it to the range Sunday. Ran bulk pack shells with no problems.

Very cool! Would like to get more info on what you did to the Lahti mag. I have a lot of Bren .303 mags I was thinking of doing the same thing with.

sounds like user error. Can you explain more. Also can you post a link to the bolt on model you got from CSS?
I started my conversion today, and I managed to get to the step where I would install the trigger guard. I purchased the "bolt on" model from CSS, and when I tried to put it on my 7.62x39, the rivet holes were off. (The holes in the trigger guard only made it 3/4 of the way through the hole.) Is there a way to fix this or should I contact CSS. On the site, it claims the trigger guard should be an exact fit to my rifle...
Another issue I had is with my Tapco G2 (single hook,) when I went to assemble it,roll pin would not glide through. I have tried sliding it through the trigger holes alone, as well as just the disconnector, the problem arises when I put them both together. It almost appears as the the roll pin is going in at a slight angle. Is this my error or did I get a lemon that I need to send back?

How so? Fit, spring, feed angle, casting burrs hanging up parts?...
Fit was good right out the box but it will not feed. Had a few feed if I smack it around. Spring or casting flash problem I guess. Being promag I took it to the range two time and threw it back in the box. I guess I should try to fix it, just didn't want to spend more money to ship it back to promag and have them ship the same one right back.

Appolgies in advance if this is a noob-q but I'm ordering a 5.45 Saiga tomorrow with plans to convert it. I don't have to purchase a new glad block in order to use an AK74 gas tube, do I? Thanks.

No but you may need to fit or file the back of the gas tube a little for it to fit right. Just DON'T file the gas block lol

My 12 round drum is a total POS! Did I just have bad luck? I would really like to have some working 12 round drums but dropped that idea after buying the one I have.

It was DPH that sold them. It's not a Bulgarian stock but a clone of one. Also if I'm not mistaken the rear aren't fully heat-treated. Still a good deal the small part cost almost that much

Meh I guess. But I wouldn't pay 2000$ for an ak to fit in a smaller bag.
