  1. #1 German Beer: Warsteiner

#2 American Beer: Samuel Adams Boston lager/or Ale

    #3 American Beer: MGD

then followed by other good beers, and I don't mean water that is colored yellow to look like beer.

No one brews better Beer then the Germans, hands down.

    The hard stuff.

#1 Russian Vodka- Stoli (HAHA, keep this away from me.....)

    #2 Jagermeister

No one does better Vodka then the Russians, yeah yeah I don't wanna hear it from you Gray goose fans :P

    Wine-

I'll have some every now and then, drinking some red table wine atm. :P

  2. After some great info and suggestions from all you guys. I decided to pick up an Kel-Tec .380 And I got to take it to the range yesterday.

The good- from what I've seen it shoots where I point it, weighs as much as my cell phone, and my version didnt seem to jam due to limp wristing.

the bad- I do have one very bad flaw with this gun. The mag wont stay in place. I was shooting and noticed the mag drop to the ground. *hrmmm* I thought did I hit the mag release button???? Well I tried it some more, and found out thats not the problem. For some reason it drops the mag when I go to put a round in the chamber, shoot, or worse yet...... bump hit against my hand.

the ugly- keep fingers away from slide. I was holding it with two hands to keep the mag from falling out, an it caught the back of my thumb. *ouchie*****

I figure I can always return it to KT, the warr. looks good, and I hear they have good service. Unless there are any other suggestions that might fix the problem??????

  3. Thanks for the gun and holster info guys!

I like the idea of a the pocket holster, (or perhaps a ankle holster if I get some pants)

All the guns suggested are right on the money.

I really like P3AT because loaded its only weighs in at 10 oz.

I also liked the NAA Guaridan, but it does weighs 20 oz and is about $100 more, but looks very nice.

The beretta tomcat is also pretty nice. A again a little bit more money and a little more heavy. also only in .32

The Bersa looks cool, but again is a little bigger and the most heavy of so far seen at 25 oz.

Looks like I'll be going down to the gun store soon and hold and look at above mentioned guns, and pick one up in the next week or so. :D

  4. Hey guys,

I do landscaping (yard work, mowing, weedeating etc) and I'm allowed to carry a gun with me. Some places we work are at some apartments where I know some friends have been robed before, and I've had several strange people come up to "talk to us". My problem is while I love my p2000 its hard to take it because of several reasons. 1) my clothes for work are usually a pair of shorts and a white undershirt. Its a real pain in the butt to conceal it. 2) I dont really feel like exposing my baby to the ton of dirt, dust, water, and plant matter. Dont get me wrong I have no problem should such a thing be needed, but *shrug* Thats a lot of cleaning because during the summer months we work many days during the week. 3) concealment is very very important, while we have some loyal customers I dont want to "freak any body out" if they notice that buldge.

I've considered just leaving it in the truck, but for one they could brake into the truck when we are not looking and two the gun does me no good in the truck if a dog attacks me or I get robbed.

Thus does anyone have any suggestions? guns, holsters..... etc.

I would want to keep the price to a very low min. I dont intend to use another firearm except for "at work".

One thing that grabs my attention is NAA's Black Widow in .17HRM or .22

I like that because its so small, and you can get a foldable handel with a "belt Clip" This would be good for a dog (not a large dog) but not good enough for self defense against a human.

perhaps a small revolver or something?

    thanks for the help.

  5. cool buy Chips,

:) I would like one, but when you are running up into the $400+ range for a .22 I dunno. Even with cool ness factor.

heck I had a hard enough time to justify a pretty decent bolt action .22 in wall mart. Looked like a pretty sold gun, (dont remember what brand, had to see what it is when its in those huge display cases) Plus its crazy I was walking by by the rifle section in wall mart and there was an older gentlemen (like 60+) with his wife buying a rifle and the store guy was giving him a lecture. "Well now, I know you were in the Army and all, BUT we were gonna have to escort you to your car and give you the gun there". That wasn't the first time I've seen that either. One reason I havent gotten any gun off them.

Well congrats Chips! hope you have many hrs of cool and cheap plinking!!!! :super:

BTW- does the front sight get in the way of the scope? I notice its pretty high up in the vision.

  6. Okie, I've been thinking of getting an SKS and Tricking it out just because I feel like it.

What I would like to do is get one of the ATI folding stocks, which I'm pretty sure should be legal right??? I know I can get a collapsible AR stock, why not one for an SKS? problem is I've seen several sights which still say no folding ati stock for 922 rules.

I would also like to cut barrel down from 20 inches to 16, add threads and put a conical compensator. I dunno if the web sites are old but I keep finding pre and post ban crap and its driving me nuts. Is what I just said legal?

and in previous threads I've seen the discussion of 10 US parts needed? correct?

also, should I just converit to the regular detach sks mags or should I go the Uber version and mod for the AK mags to use the Drums?

Anyone got an idea for 3 rail forend? I'm not sure if I could converit an AK version to fit the SKS. At min. I could always get 3 rails and mount them to the stock, (more ghetto) or find a way to make AR/AK whatever fit.

I dunno, I try to look stuff up at the ATF website, but two hrs or reading and I have not found what I'm looking for.

any other laws? thanks guys :)

  7. Aye! That he is.

I think that public needs to relearn again what police do. A police officers job is to enforce the law, which isnt what most people think. And why on earth could someone become mad and hateful to the police? I mean its not like they make the laws! We make the laws, and the police enforce them........ so what gives?

if we dont like the laws, should we not repell them?

that seems the the logical way to me.

    *shrug*

  8. Yes that is true SaltPeter.

that has been pointed out by the communists, to over turn governments by sheer numbers. Except in the case of Russia they used firearms to achieve victory, and then banned them down the road.

Thats one of the reasons the communist party (here) never made it past 100,000 members, when our government cracked down on them. I assume they could be past 100,000 now, but threat of revolution is not as great as it use to be.

  9. thanks for the link SaltPeter. that was scary.

If our founding fathers mentioned of the god given right to keep and bare arms so that we the people could keep control of our goverment (just one of the many reasons) and replace it if need be then I say against the military and police are we not out gunned? Should for some reason we come to relize we are under oppression when do we the people decided when to act? What if not all the people feel the same way? could there be a new civil war? is it even possible to over throw the government? I know the communist party wanted to try, and they were crushed before they could do anyting.

how many people today should the worst arrise be willing to fight for the freedoms our founding fathers established? if the answer is few, then are we not already defeated? if the people have forgotten, we are then doomed to lose all of freedoms and we have no one to blame but our selves.

Our founding fathers had in mind keeping the people armed equaly with the military. In those days if such an event were to happen things were more or less equal. Modern times however show in my opnion no such equalness in terms of firepower.

  10. I have!

I happen to make Armor for sca combat, and one item "closed cell foam" (padding) is arround $8 per roll (at wallmart). Usually the blue camping mat stuff. I found on ebay 4 pads for a total of like..... $4 to $6 each with shipping. So I saved at min. like $2 a roll. That does not seem like much, but when making armor it adds up because generally per hr some things I made I was only getting $2 a hour. So needless to say its hard as hell to live off being an armor smith.

there can be deals out there, but yes lots of stuff isnt a deal.

  11. well said Bvamp!

I have not done research into this, but I've heard that the recent plight of the media may not be just a recent thing. I'm no expert in WWII media, but my understanding was a lot of the reports at the time were saying we were loosing etc etc. They did not seem to indicate that they were showing our troops in such a negative light as they did in VN and more recent times but it is interestering to think about.

    2 cents.

  12. *sigh* I've been bringing that point up for a while now. Telling the libs that, in my own opinion, does very little because they hate George Bush and his "rich" Republican buddies. To them while Saddam has killed more people than Bin Laden since we have not caught Bin Laden all of a sudden Saddam is a Saint and Bush is evil because he removed Saddam and "took his eye of the ball". If I remember correctly we have for sure removed two terrorist training basses that once were in Iraq. Again, the libs have forgoten. I also assume its part of the current adminstrations faults for perhaps not linking more stuff in Iraq with terrorism, but then again I think the majority of the american people are not that dumb and see the evidence even if its not in the bright spotlight.

God bless our Troops, They are doing mighty fine work and we should all be proud.
