wlchase 0
So, I got my new 20.47" Saiga in .223, but I'd really like to put some nice wood on it, instead of the plastic. I just want the basic stock and covers, no pistol grip (no need for a dweeb like me to try to be Taticool). Problem is, I can't figure out which type, if any, of the standard aftermarket AK furniture will work. I see references to "milled" or "stamped" receivers, but no idea which the Saiga has. Can ya help a guy out? TIA! Bill (BTW, this thing shoots sweet! )
kresk 10,063
We'll start you out by saying that the receivers are stamped. Milled receivers would have been created out of a single block of metal and are very expensive. Stamped ones are easy to mass produce.
wlchase 0
Thanks! I suspected as much, given the price, but didn't want to drop close to half the cost of the rifle and find out I guessed wrong! Bill
