guateque 0 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 Hi I just pick up my new saiga 12 model 109 from FMBG but with the bolt action open and when I move or shake the whole shotgun back and for sound like something inside is loose I can't see anything moving inside but I can't remenber this sound in the one i use a couple of weeks ago i also call FMBG and I was told this is normal because it is a AK what do you think? thank you..... kresk 10,063 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 (edited) You're hearing the gas piston that sits behind the gas port selector sliding, and that is perfectly normal in the Saiga shotty. As tritium said, its the gas piston and its supposed to be loose, if you unscrew the regulator cap (the one with the "1" and "2" settings on it) you'll see how it works.
