ssullivan777 0
Seen some of the mods having no front site or have moved it to the back end of the barrel. Do you have to cut it off the barrel or just how do you move or remove it? Thanks
dinzag 31
Remove the cross pins (2) and press it off with a shop press. See vjor for press plates. The .223 & x39 FSB's are some of the most fun to try to remove without a press. If you must try without a press, I've used a brass punch and 3# hammer. Put a 3/8" brass slug against the muzzle face and drive on the back of the base of the FSB with another brass punch/hammer. Apply a little heat if needed. Having 4 hands helps too. edit to add: If you don't want to keep it, slit the bottom with a dremel and hammer it off. Edited February 10, 2007 by dinzag
