For mags, Galil-Orlite mags are 35 rounds (or 50 rounds) and require very minor mod to work. Believe Weiger mags also work but I'm not as familiar with them. There's likely some info here in the tech section on both of them. Just be sure you play the proper parts game with 922r compliance. Congrats on your new acquisition and welcome to the forum! Navy87Guy 1
Karl - Like Tritium said, good choice and welcome aboard! If you aren't familiar with it, there are some Federal laws you must comply with if you start modifying your Saiga rifle. It is 18 USC 922R, usually referred to as 922R. It puts a limit on the certain parts within the rifle and how many of those parts can be foreign made. Do a search on 922R in the forum and check the stickies in the Tech section for lots of info. The bottom line is that if you start to do things like use hi capacity mags and add a pistol grip, then there are other steps you have to take to be compliant with Federal law. It's not difficult, but it does take some work and some money (figure around $100-$150). In the meantime, enjoy your new rifle -- they beauties! Jim
