Easy Additions for Novice

(Newbie that's been lurking for a few weeks and have a couple of questions.)

 

Have a new S-410 (basic model) and would like to add a couple of toys like the Thumbhole Stock

Do these accessories have to be modified to fit the S-410 or is it fairly easy to do with a few simple tools?

 

I will be using the gun to shoot armadillos at night so also wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a mounted light that can be attached without major modifications.

Those will fit with not much trouble. You might have to drill your holes for the stock though. Also the stock is non compliant for 922r.

On the light question I would recommend a "MAG" brand flash light --- the one that takes two AA batteries and has a kripton bulb. You can buy a very simple mount that has a bolt in the middle and two round clamp jaws on either end. You put one set of jaws around the guns barrel and the other set around the flashlight and then tighten down the bolt make things nice and tight. No permenant modifications to your gun are necessary. I havn't tried this set up on a Saiga but I've got it on one of my .22-lr rifles and it works like a charm for terminating night vermin.

For a mini maglite what i did was just use a 1" scope ring and clamped it around the head of the light I just turn the thumbscrew to mount to any of my rails
