another question on scopes & scope options

I shoot lefty and am left-eye dominant, but I really like the Russian PSO/POSP-type scopes with the integrated sidemount. However, I've heard that these scopes are aligned left of center when mounted, are there others that aren't? I basically need a solution to mount a scope that is aligned centrally down the barrel, using the stock sidemounts, and preferably using one of the PSO/POSP-type scopes.

 

Or do I have to go with someting like this: http://www.copesdist.com/images/AKSideRaliMnt.jpg and get some other scope?

I haven't seen a POSP scope with a built in rail that is centered. Having said that, I'm a lefty and I decided to keep mine. As long as I'm not using the rubber eyepiece, it's barely noticeable.

 

The link you posted would be a good option for a rail. Make sure you shop around for the best price, as they do vary. Good luck choosing a scope to go on that. I'd use a Mueller as they are the best value.

i'll let you in on my master plan as a lefty:

 

i plan on getting a scope mount like the one you linked to over on cope's (the one's that they have on David's Collectibles are the same with quick detach if you're interested)

 

next picking one of these

Awesome guys, thanks for the heads-up on these items. That side-mount on Dave's collectibles does seem to be the better one to get. After reading about the Mueller's scopes and the reviews that some sites have on them, they seem to be really good scopes for their price. I'll have to take a closer look between them and the rail-mount POSP's.
