chradrrp 0
Hey guys, I have just recently bought a Saiga .308 I belive it is the 2 model (the one with the synthetic stock). I have been around guns my entire life, but I have never "altered" them. I am also new the the "assault" or "Main Battle Rifle" style of rifle with the exception of putting just a replacment folding stock on my dads SKS. As soon as I saw this gun at my local gun shop I instantly saw all the posibilites. I would really like to put a new stock on it with a pistol grip (not completely sure which kind as of yet) and some new sights (preferably apature) and a flash supressor to help keep the tip down a little during rapid fire. Unfortunatly it seems like, from what I have read, I will have to cut on my new gun . I dont like that idea at all lol. I would hate to mess something up or make it look crappy. Any tips, pointers, or any other form of assistance would be much appreciated. Oh I was also going to buy a few of the 20 or 25 round mags that are available, I am leaning more towards the 20's because I don't want a mag to stick too far out of the bottom and possibly effect shots in a prone position. Any advice on which mags to go with would also be much appreciated. Thanks
nalioth 405
You're not 'altering' anything. You're pulling of a restrictor plate (placed for political purposes), and reassembling the rifle in the fashion it was intended. You're pulling out the politically required half-ass parts and replacing them with fully functional American parts. It's as easy as falling off a log.
