Trigger group into stock receiver

Recommended Posts

Ok, even though I know that I am probably going to get many stones thrown at me for not doing the full conversion, I am one of those guys who always likes the option of taking a gun back to stock condition. So far, I have put the Ace reciever block, pistol grip and M4 type stock on that do not require cutting into the receiver and moving the trigger forward. Problem now is, with a pistol grip and the stock trigger, it feels horrible because the trigger is going up and in. Does anyone know of anyone that makes a trigger group for the stock receivers to change this to a standard, press to rear, trigger? I've talked to the guys over at Mississippi Auto Arms and they are trying to find one to stock, but aren't sure yet.

Dinzag makes them, just search the boards for info on him and feedback.

He only provides the USA disconnector, hammer, and a flat bottom trigger minus the trigger. You still use the factory trigger and the rocker linkage http://dinzagarms.com/misc_parts/fcgnpg.html

Ok, so I've decided to suck it up and do at least the PG conversion and just leave the stock as it is. What I need now is the square nut for the pistol grip. Is there one that will fit the bolt that I have in my current pistol grip that came with the Ace stock set or am I going to have to get a new grip?

I decided to go ahead and just get an Ergo grip for it. I'm assuming that it uses the standard AK long bolt and square nut. I looked at the bolt that was with the Tapco grip I had and it is definitely thicker and shorter than the standard AK bolt so instead of trying to find a square nut for it, just sucked it up again and ordered the Ergo that looks like a better feeling grip and the standard bolt and nut
