akclan33 0
I was on Ebay looking around and came across this one from Leupold, would the MOA be to small for the 12? http://cgi.ebay.com/Leupold-Gilmore-Lg-1-R...1QQcmdZViewItem Edited April 25, 2008 by jon36
aubie515 2
If it was my money, I'd pass on the Gilmore. There is a reason Leupold discontinued those red dots. A few years ago, I was looking into purchasing one, but found out they weren't that durable. If you must send it in for warranty work...just keep in mind that Leupold might charge you a fee for the repairs. Which would negate your savings. Since I work for Streamlight, I have a TLR2 on my Tromix S17. I won't/don't believe I will be shooting the shotgun past 50 yards, so it's perfect for my needs. Some other fine red dots include: ADCO, Ultra Dot, Aimpoint and Eotech. Definately make sure that the red dot will withstand the abuse from 12 ga recoil. GTwannabe 1
The AR-15 guys are talking about this upcoming $130 red dot: http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=277&t=159580 "Tested with .375 H&H Magnum for 1000 rounds" - should handle 12-gauge recoil without any trouble. I might get one for my AR.
