223addict 0
do I need to cut the barrel sleave off, or can I thread right over it with a larger thread, and then re-thread with a 14x1mm left hand thread? If so, does anybody have experience doing it. Does it cause the threads to be sloppy. And last question, who can rent me the tools to do it or point me to the right place? Thanks, -Lee

Thanks, -Lee I cut the sleeve off my 7.62x39 and then threaded it 14-1LH. I got the tools from dinzagarms.com. IIRC he rents them for ~$20.

You will ssrew up your barrel, guaranteed. My 02 centavos
