Irish John 0
I have a couple questions regarding doing the conversion of my Saiga: 1. What are my options for a new butt stock? Where can I purchase these? 2. Could you JB weld the bullet guide in place rather than drill and tap?
nalioth 405
1. What are my options for a new butt stock? Where can I purchase these? Any Kalashnikov stock for a stamped receiver will work. 2. Could you JB weld the bullet guide in place rather than drill and tap? JB Weld (or any other adhesive) has no place in critical firearm areas. Drill and tap, mig/tig or rivet it for best results. Edited August 14, 2008 by nalioth

Don't sweat the drill-and-tap procedure; it was possibly the easiest metal-working modification I have ever done , took mere minutes. NYMini 1
The bullet guide IMHO is the easiest part of the conversion. Just remember to centerpunch the pilot hole first! You get only one shot at it.
