j-man 0
Greeting, I have just become an owner of a .223 Saiga. I have a 7.62x39 Saiga already and wanted a .223, so I decided I should get one before the supply dries up. I paid $244, which isn't bad since I would pay at least $239 by ordering it (Saiga + Transfer fee), not including shipping. Anyway, I now have to decide which one I am going to convert to PG first. j-man 0
Convert to pistol grip style. No folding stock. I never liked the look of those.

Wolverine 10,360
j-man, The .223 comes with one 10 rd mag right? What are you going to do for mags beyond the one with purchase? That is what do the other guys use for .223? With the 7.62 you can put in the guide, file some AK mags and your good to go. What about the .223? I am asking because I have a chance to buy one if I want to but I am concerned about mags since EAA has bailed/ Thanks, Wolverine
j-man 0
I was going to follow the directions from here: http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/step_10.htm Looks like Weiger and Gali mags will work with a feed ramp and some dremel work on the mags. Dch48 0
I just purchased a 223 Saiga from my dealer and added the scope mount and a Tasco 3X9X40 $30 scope from Wal-Mart. The thing shoots consistent 2" 3 shot groups at 100 yds. I am very satisfied with the gun and I have to say (although I know this may shock some) that I like the looks of the gun better than a stock AK, especially the forend where that UGLY gas port connection is now covered up, and I have no plans to do any conversion on it. I would say that this rifle is hands down better than a Mini-14 and costs half the price. I paid $270 for the rifle and $23 for an extra clip and feel I got a deal seeing as how future availability seems in question. I have used Winchester white box ammo so far but I have 500 rounds of Wolf on order. How well does this rifle shoot with the Wolf ammo?
