skifast 2
I took my second Saiga to the range today. It was converted by someone else. After 30 rounds the rifle would not fire. I stripped it down. The pin holding the hammer in place slide out a bit and the hammer was cocked to the side. How should the pin be secured to prevent it from happening again? Lonz 1
How did you have it secured? Or didn't you?
skifast 2
It does not look like it was secured.
cellsworth 21
A retaining plate or retaining wire should do the job. Some people use small hitch pins (Nalioth had some pictures up illustrating this method).
skifast 2
After some research, it is being retained by a shepards crook, but it is not holding. I will be heading to Lowes to pick up some hitch pins.
