VladTepes 160 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 DO all hand gaurds made for the ak hold the cleaning rod in place? im going to start the conversion soon and will probably use a combination of kvar and tapco furniture and just want to know if they accomidate that.. and if i have to do anything else to have the cleaning rod help on my rifle.. taurussvt 0 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Share Posted November 8, 2008 If you get them from K-var I'm sure that they'll have the hole/slot for the rod, Tapco, I'm not so sure. Just a heads up, the rod that comes with the saiga rifle is not a correct cleaning rod. The other thing is, if you buy the correct cleaning rod, the saiga cleaning kit will not thread on it it. Do yourself a favor and when you order ALL of your furniture from K-var, buy a cleaning rod and cleaning kit from them. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
