Spooge 0
Hello fellas, I need some help. I bought a romanian bullet guide, shaped it and was in the process of installing it. The problems are: I dont have access to a 6-40 tap, or a 33 drill bit, or 6-40 machine screw. What else may I use to drill , tap and screw the guide? Thanks for all your help (Past, present and future.) Hugegator where are you!
2ND GUNMAN 0
You'll be fine using a 6-32 machine screw instead. After installing the bulletguide, make sure the bolt clears and then function test the gun (dummy rounds chamber properly from magazine). If so, remove the screw and put a little Loctite on it. Spooge 0
Thanks 2nd Gunman. But what should I drill the pre-tap hole with?
2ND GUNMAN 0
A #36 drill bit. You should be able to buy a 6-32 tap set (tap and correct #36 drill bit) at Lowes for about $4.00.
Spooge 0
Thanks again. You must have put a few guides in yourself.
