Rapier 0
So guys, I'm thinking hard about doing a x39 conversion. Not a full 103 conversion but I'll be part of the way. Plus it'll be good practice for converting a .223 Saiga to AKS-74 configuration. Here's what I'm looking at so far. Stock: ACE internal block side-folding skeleton stock. +1 US part Pistol Grip: Arsenal US-made pistol grip, or maybe a Tapco SAW grip, haven't decided yet. (This doesn't effect parts count, right? Have to replace a part with a US made part, not add a part that wasn't there before, right?) Handguards: Probably going to keep the normal Saiga one for a while, then might swap it out later for US made plum ones + a Dinzag bolt-on handguard retainer & gas tube. FCG: Converted Pistol-Grip config FCG from Dinzag +3 US parts Bullet Guide kit: Dinzag kit Done this way, I should have 14 - 4 (FCG+Stock) = 10 parts, which makes me 922r compliant, right? If so, it looks like I can be in for a new converted Saiga for about $650. I'll be reusing the trigger guard on the rifle. Is there anything I should look out for? fxhart 14
That will do it. Just keep in mind that the pistol grip is adding a part but as long as it's US made you're fine.
