jdmakersmark 15
I decided to do a good cleaning after my conversion and used Gun Scrubber. Well it looks like I will re-painting the bottom of the receiver. I used Dura-coat and let it cure for five days. Well the paint came off with the Gun Scrubber. Looks like I will refinishing the receiver again. I will not be using Guns scrubber next time.
cellsworth 21
Yeah, something like Gun Scrubber is bad news for the painted finish. I only use the "synthetic safe" version to clean and degrease internal parts, and that only very rarely and carefully.
patriot 7,197
Steer clear of carbuerator cleaner and brake cleaner too. I use ballistol. Works like a charm. Pulls out the plastic wad fouling too.
Rhodes1968 1,638
Or just dont get any on a painted surface. I use gun scrubber and carb cleaner(clean the gas port)on my rifles and never have an issue but then I use it carefully.
