Cobra 76 two 2,677
What year model is your S-12? If it was made after '05 I believe it is, your front sight has no threads, and is staked in place, which means it's been more or less peened from inside the GB. If this is the case, all hope isn't lost however. You can always grind the factory sight flush and then drill and tap a new hole with threads of your choosing.
KC913 324
You can always grind the factory sight flush and then drill and tap a new hole with threads of your choosing. This is what I'm planning to do after I'm done with everything else.
got_drift 1
well I know for a fact it comes out and is threaded I just don't have the tool to tell the pitch. I've had it for awhile not positive on the year. Is there something like a vin on there I could tell the production date?

I copied the info from elsewhere long ago.I don't know jack about thread sizes but my notes say...6mm x .75 for what its worth. Maybe I copied a "typo" or wrote it down wrong, however it's very similar to your M6 x .075. Perhaps you could try a front-sight post from an SKS to get one-step closer to the answer. Saiga 12's dont use the same barrel mounted front sight as standard AK's. They have a bead type sight similar to a standard shotgun bead sight on the gas block. Cobra 76 two 2,677
If you can't find the answer here you can always just take it out and got to the hardware store with it. See what size metric nut will thread onto it.

got_drift 1
well I got some good info guys just for yall! Upon removing my THREADED sight I found out it's a bit smaller then what I thought it's actually a 4mm× .075 I don't know of any night sight with that small of theads so I'm planning on taking out the chaos quick clean and drilling the sight hole out a bit and rethreading it to the new ak sight pitch of 6mm× .075. So yeah just soo errybody out there knows
got_drift 1
well I got it all tapped and installed. Ran into a new problem..... The ak sight is way to high it throws the sight line way off.... But I've already though of a solution. I was comparing the sks to the ak and found the sks sits really low almost like a bead type so ima buy that one here in the next few weeks, grind all but three threads off of that and throw it in I'm hoping for the best. I wish ameriglo would make one for saiga 12s already even though it's to late for me now. And I don't know to many people that are fond of the factory iron sights like me.
