gundam83 0
Are there any slip on/set screw options available to get an ak74 brake on my Saiga 7.62? Removing the FSB seems like a pain and a half, and I want something a bit more simpler and economic then getting the barrel properly threaded. The brake is purely for aesthetics. imarangemaster 315
Blackthorns AK has one that slips over and welds on. Not effective but looks OK. Could be drilled and tapped for set screws. You would have to Sink it 1/16 inch into barrel shroud in four places in front of sight to make it secure.
Rhodes1968 1,638
You may want to rethink that since such a brake can very easily greatly reduce your accuracy. Ive seen Flash suppressors work fine like you ask but never a brake which interacts more with the gas. DPH tried a brake like that but withdrew it and there is such a brake for the 308 costing over 150 bucks.
