SovietSurplus 3 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Share Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) So I am trying to decide if i want a Saiga in 5.45 or 5.56 Question #1: What modifications are required to allow the rifle to use Bulgarian Circle-10 mags (clear, K-var, pic below)? Mods to the magwell and mag catch, bullet guide? I refuse to modify the magazine and, yes, I only want to use the Circle-10 mags. Question #2: Can I use a surplus AK-74 FSB for a typical AK-74 muzzle Brake? (ie: is the barrel the same diameter as the 5.45 version?)
