Tyr 0
Well hello all I'm new here and just picked up my first Saiga .308, 22'' barrel with wood stock. These rifles are awsome the quality is far better than the price dictates. I was looking at a Cetmi but those things are like well used on the insides. So as I have a few AK's all ready and the saiga's looked so nice I picked one up Have been very happy with it. It shoots very well about 5.5'' with the irons and 1.5''- 2'' with my new Lynx-6 scope, not to darn shabby. I wish I would have seen that 16'' 308 first but now I know what to get next. Here she is next to her Romanian sister. close-up of Lynx-6.
lletronshootit 0
Tyr, how does the accuracy of the Romak compare to the Saiga? I am thinking of building a Romak kit or another Saiga conversion that would look like the drag. accuracy would be the deciding factor.
Tyr 0
The Romak shoot's consistant 1''-1.5'' MOA with wolf 148's and the Saiga shoot's 2'' MOA with surplus amo. It all depend's on the gun I've heard of both rifle's shooting better and worse then what I get. I'm also only using a 7x and a 8x scope more power seems to help with my bolt guns. with a 24x you can reaaly see that target.
lletronshootit 0
thanks for the info, just read another post on this site under saiga 308 where the guy gets 1'' groups with 165gr. sierra BTHPM bullets I didn't see any load mentioned though, I really like that Romak, I was hoping there was one out there that shot a tad better than 2moa, I sure can't swing a russian drag.
