Boba Debt 350
I just want to make sure that I can use a Form 1 "Application to Make and Register a Firearm" as a Trust.
KC913 324
Yes, you can. Section 2: "Corporation or other business entity" And you put the name of the trust and address instead of your name and address in 3b. waltermitty 2
yes you can.....but this needs to be qualified by saying that not all trusts are suitable for Form 1 or 4 applications. neither is it a good idea to think that applying as a trust is the panacea for the acquisition of Title 2 firearms in every single case. that fact that you can, can also come back to haunt you if, at a later point, it is determined that the trust entity was flawed in its construction or set up during the process. so what I'm simply trying to say is that one must perform due diligence in setting up the trust with care, and not just the easy way out using Quicken and filling in the blanks in giggly fashion. Small Arms Review has had two articles in the past several years, detailing the cautions one should take when creating a trust...for the purposes of attaining Title 2 firearms. Am at work now so do not have direct references to the issues. I'm sure one of the afficianados over on Tom Bowers' Subguns NFA forum will be able to respond - the writer used to frequent that board.....as do the publisher and editors.
