reedmaster16 0
Hey everyone I recently purchased a saiga IZ 240 and was wondering if this rifle could be converted to a galil. I have viewed many of the conversions by red jacket firearms and was potentially considering seeing if they were able to do it if I could not. Only problem is all the examples are chambered in 308, 223, and 762x39. My big question is can this caliber saiga be (for the most part) to a galil. Thanks Reed
Shandlanos 1,470
You can make it look like a Galil - pistol grip, front handguard, maybe even modify the rifle to use the Galil-style safety. But the Galil uses a receiver of a different shape, and I believe Galils are built on milled receivers, so it will not actually be a Galil, only a weapon cosmetically similar to one.
