DanTheEldest 2
Pretty self-explanatory. This is my first project using threadlocker on a firearm--do you folks use ordinary blue or the red stuff? Or is there a different brand that works better? Thanks.
stnls1911 55
I used the Permatex blue loctite on my lower handguard retainer I got from Dinzag. It's held up just fine.
fauxknight 30
Blue for things you might want to remove again, like screws.
TonyRumore 1,332
It depends on the size of the screw. If you want to be able to remove the fastener, use Blue, but only on screws #10 and larger. Anything smaller and you need to use Purple. Use Red if you don't plan to remove the fastener. Use Green #620 bearing mount if you're securing non-threaded slip fit. Tony
gregomega 929
I cant top Tony's advice and wouldnt want to try being he works on this stuff more than I ever will, but I use blue on everything. Red if you dont ever want to remove the fastener.
