NickWhite 7
How long is the tip of the barrel to the end of the receiver on a 16" barrel? My only other Saiga is a s308 with a 21" barrel so I can't measure my own. The only reason why I'm asking is because I have a side folding stock on my 308 I want to put on my new S223. TJohn 8
Your just wanting the overall length from barrel tip to end of receiver right? Mine is 25 3/16 inches from tip of barrel to end of receiver where it meets the buttstock on a 2006 Saiga .223 with a 16 inch barrel, not counting the buttstock tang. The receiver itself is the same length on my .223 and .308 Saiga rifles (10 1/8 inches from where back end of forearm meets the receiver to where the buttstock meets the rear of the receiver). NickWhite 7
Damn, I need it to be at least 30" tip to back of the receiver. How about to the back of the tang?
vulcan16 971
Damn, I need it to be at least 30" tip to back of the receiver. How about to the back of the tang? Sell your current 16" 223 and buy a 20" from Center fire.
NickWhite 7
Haha hell no. I want a short Saiga to go with my long Saiga. I wanna make a 74 clone
DrThunder88 912
Ah, you must be in Michigan. I'm afraid there's no way to make an AK folder with a standard length barrel without either gooning the rifle up or registering it as a pistol. What's worse is that the current AG's opinion on the State's definition of SBRs requires measurement with the stock fully collapsed or folded rather than fully open as with the current federal definition. NickWhite 7
I'm on the glorious state of Kalifornia, but I don't think a muzzle device would do it. I'm looking at the 74 brake and it adds only 1.5-2" to it, right? There's also about an inch at the tang because of the stock. But it'll be just shy
