mikebaker1129 19
What type of Galil mags do you have ? Steel or Orilite ?
mancat 2,368
There are several people that have used AR followers and springs in both steel and orlite Galil magazines. You have to use 40-round springs as the 30-round ones are too short for the Galil magazine.
Tooley 3
I'm pretty sure there steel.. All I really know is there South African.. Same as IMI but with a different stamp... Whatever that means.. I was givein a email address by a friend for a person who had pre ban (thanks New York) galil mags that will work with my saiga.. From the research I've done replacing the follower and floor plate to US made parts will add to the compliance parts needed. I just haven't had any luck finding them.. ShovelMonkey 8
My steel Galil magazines were as useful as a limp dick so I swapped in new followers from Magpul and they now run perfectly. Took about 15 minutes of hand filling and fitting, but worth the time for constant feeds and no more last round jams.
mancat 2,368
Yep. The Magpul followers work fine in Galil mags, just require a bit of tweaking. The capacity is also knocked down to 34 rounds. Edited October 1, 2012 by mancat

Yellowlabsrule 0
To get them in past the tabs on the bottom in the front and to slide a little easier.
