Firebird Railed Hanguard for the MKS 1919

Recommended Posts

After you take the nut off the front does it feel like its tight in the rear and kinda loose in the front?

When you put the hanguard on was the last 1/8 in or so hard?

I'm asking because the mka has acouple different barrel profiles so the older fb handguards (or the ones from centerfire) might be a little small where it fits over the barrel in the back.

I had this issue on mine but i solved it by turning a little off the barrel so its the same OD as the newer ones. this option was easier and faster for me that why i did it but not everyone has a lathe.

I would call up Jim at firebird. he is great to talk to and he will figure out whatever problems you may have with his products.

if it gos on all the way most likely the opening for the barrel is correct. i couldnt get mine on all the way even with a few light taps with a rubber deadblow (im sure i could of with a few heavy hits..). you will know if its the wrong size.
