Squeaky 135
Hey guys: I am not as familiar with the gun aftermarket as I'd like to be. Nevertheless, I am wondering if anyone makes a heavy barrel for the Remington 700 ADL in .30-06. Just curious. I don't see one at MidwayUSA or Brownell's. After having viewed the Sniper 101 videos on youtube about bore erosion and barrel wear, I fear I might already have worn-out my barrel just from lots of target shooting with factory ammo. Before I knew any better, I have gotten the barrel warm enough to where I'd see mirage coming off of it. I just figured a heavy barrel would handle heat better. More accuracy would be incidental in this case. My rifle still zeros well despite having a cheap scope on it, but I might not have as much life left in it as I'd like. There's always the option of getting a new regular barrel. However, I've seen heavy barreled rifles literally put bullets in the same hole even with factory ammo. Thanks.
