so i was talking to a friend this weekend who was once on operations in south america using the mossberg 9200a1 jungle gun i had previously posted about...he was tellling me how that was his favorite semi auto shotty...blah blah blah...well...to make a long story short...he told me that in the thick brush down there, buckshot wasnt the best ammo for taking out tangos in the jungle...he told me he used flechette rounds...based on the same idea as 00 buck, but instead of buckshot, there were about 25 little steel darts inside the shell...he said they make some nasty wounds and dont get deflected

for you guys that have mounted hand grips/lasers/flashlights on your shotguns, what did you do to add them? did you just screw a picatinny rail into the base of the forend or something else?

thanks for the info mac! the gun i found was on gunsamerica...im looking for something to go along with my saiga and stumbled across this...if i dont get it then im gonna wind up getting the saiga 12 to go with my 20...just figured since it was rare it would compliment my semi autos well

do these forends that blackjack have fit the saiga shotguns or what?

i planned to get an m-4 style stock, and i meant a recoil buffer for the receiver...the gun doesnt kick my shoulder bad at all

ok guys, im considering sending my saiga out to firefly gun works...hes posted on here a rifle or two for sale...$200 to convert my rifle with a 18 inch barrel, pistol grip, and stock...i'd do it myself but i'm machine illiterate...anyways...i was thinking of gettin a saiga 12 with just the pistol grip but know that the recoil from shooting slugs through it will be a killer...so where can i get recoil buffers, which are the best, and how/where do i install them on the gun? i only kno of recoil bufferes for the butt end of stocks, are there any that go inside the rifle to help reduce the kick o

saiga20, thanks for all the info...i dont want to do anything to do anything that isnt reversible...maybe ill buy another 20 or a .410 and modify that one...i live in Mass so i dont know how the laws would effect me...all i know is that the batf confuses the hell out of me...what im basically looking to do is modify it into a sort of "cqb" or "assault" shotgun...for instance i had a standard winchester 1300 defender punpgun witth an 18 inch barrel...i added a mount and xenon flashlight to its barrel, a barrel shroud, fiber optic night sight, a top folding stock, pistol grip and shell saddle..

any kind of modification...ive seen some of the pics on here and guys have lights mounted to them, pistol grips, folding stocks....just something to make it look fierce...its already a badass shotgun as is...ive actually been wanting to get a laser sight for it...i saw one mounted on a 12 gauge in a store and that was pretty sick looking
