  1. I know MD Arms plans to release a magwell some time, but it looks to me like the project is on the back burner right now. So I was looking at the Russian Military & Outdoor website. They have a magwell offered there, so I emailed them and asked them if russian or other magazines could be modified to fit their magwell. The reply was "magwell only takes magwell mags.. or contact Saiga12 forum for more info.. thanks". So... Can the russian or AGP magazines be made to fit the RM&O magwells? If I use this magwell does this mean that I can't add a LRBHO later? Thanks
  2. I am looking for an US made AMD lower handguard if anyone has one out of one of those conversion kits or from elsewhere.
  3. I just bought two new 10rd magazines from the saiga-12.com store and my shells are getting stuck inside one of the mags. I was putting in 3" magnum shells and they got stuck inside and I had to unscrew the mag to remove them. I tried keeping the screws a little loose on the mag and now the shells arent getting stuck but they move up and down very sluggishly when I press against them. 2 3/4 shells also have the same problem, I have tried putting in and removing both kinds several times so it seems to be an issue with the width of the magazine. Has anyone else had this trouble? The other mag wor
  4. Yes, I see now that those pins slide out. I thought they had to be drilled out to be removed, guess I wasnt paying attention to what was a rivet and what wasnt. Thanks for the help.
  5. I'm trying to draw up some plans for a bullpup kit I want to build for my Saiga-12. Right now I'm trying to figgure out how to attach a wire to activate the trigger mechanism remotely. The best way I can think of is to have a small wheel around one of the rods (rivets?) that passes through the trigger mechanisms. The wheel would be attached to the mechanism next to the circled spring in the picture. The wire would wind 3/4 of the way around the wheel and then be attached to it. (Please exuse my ignorance of the proper terms for these parts, I'm fairly new to firearms) My question is: What
  6. Bump. There is only a little information in the forums on this.
  7. I like it. Was it difficult to do? Maybe you could tell me a bit more about how you made your parts? I like the look of the K-Var kit. He did say it was a pain in the ass to do though. I'm pretty new at this, I want to get these modifications done before the next AWB though.
  8. I would like to convert my Saiga-12 into a bullpup with the K-Var kit and I would like to know what other pieces I need to make this conversion? I plan on replacing that flimsy looking wire with something like a bicycle brake wire or something. There are some threads though that say that modifications are needed and one that says that I would need a new handguard retainer. These threads don't go into specifics though, does anyone have more information on this?
  9. Fort Myers. Its along the Caloosahatchee river.
  10. Thanks for the offer, but I am in southern FL which would be quite a drive to get up there. Are there some common problem areas I can check? Is the drams this DR. EQ. on my box of shells? In that case what I was firing was 3 drams. Why are all the firearm measurements so archaic? I was reading what 'gauge' means and apparently my shotgun being 12 gauge means that 12 lead spheres the same diameter as the inner bore equals one pound. Thats crazy! Sorry for all the newbie questions. Theres just a lot of jargon here that I am not used to. Coming from a science background and working wi
  11. Thanks for all the replies! I didn't buy it locally, I bought it online. "What kind of jam are you seeing, FTF, FTE?" I don't know what these abbreviations mean. The casings usually get caught in the metal sticking out from the barrel opening inside the gun. Sometimes they don't eject at all, they just sit in the barrel. I am using the bargain 1 1/8 oz shot though, I'll have to try something else. I am currently using the 5rd mag that came with the gun (the original manufacturers mag), though I want to get a couple 10rd mags. Thanks for telling me how to remove the gas regulator C
  12. I just bought a Saiga-12 and every third shell or even every other shell I fire from it doesn't eject properly and jams the gun. I tried setting the gas regulator to both the 1 and 2 position and it seems to me that the 1 position jams on every other shell and the 2 position jams on every third shell. I slid the bolt back and forth, it doesn't catch on anything and seems to slide fine. Right now I am using Winchester 7 1/2 bird shot to test it with, could it be the ammunition? Also, I have not been able to take off the gas regulator because the screw that looks like it holds it on is very
