  1. I have been way out of the loop on Saigas and guns for that matter. I was wondering what unconverted S12's are going for these days? I saw one at a gun shop for $800 and about shit. Also could someone tell me what I should ask for for the one pictured above?

    Thanks

  2. I personally like the Choate version better. I think its better quality and looks better. But thats just my opinion and you know what they say about those. Here is mine:

    http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=6177&hl=

    Thanks for the info =D!!

AND THIS IS FOR A AK FIBERFORCE ? OR THE SAIGA BRAND ONE?

I FIGURED A AK 47 FIBERFORCE WOULD NOT WORK UNLESS YOU MOVED THE FCG ETC??? AND THATS WHY THEY SELL THE SAIGA BRAND, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO MOVE THE PARTS

Misfit, do me a favor and take off the cap locks the next time you post.

The other thing is, I was unaware that fiberforce made a stock set for the Saiga rifle. Can you provide a link? The only one I've seen is for the actual stamped receiver AK47. I'm not aware of Ultimak making one for the Saiga either.

  3. I sat in my seat of the Boeing 767 waiting for everyone to hurry and stow their carry-ons and grab a seat so we could start what I was sure to be a long, uneventful flight home.

With the huge capacity and slow moving people taking their time to stuff luggage far too big for the overhead and never paying much attention to holding up the growing line behind them, I simply shook my head knowing that this flight was not starting out very well. I was anxious to get home to see my loved ones so I was focused on my issues and just felt like standing up and yelling for some of these clowns to get their act together.

I knew I couldn't say a word so I just thumbed thru the "Sky Mall" magazine from the seat pocket in front of me.

You know it's really getting rough when you resort to the over priced, useless sky mall crap to break the monotony.

With everyone finally seated, we just sat there with the cabin door open and no one in any hurry to get us going although we were well past the scheduled take off time.

No wonder the airline industry is in trouble I told myself.

Just then, the attendant came on the intercom to inform us all that we were being delayed.

The entire plane let out a collective groan.

She resumed speaking to say "We are holding the aircraft for some very special people who are on their way to the plane and the delay shouldn't be more than 5 minutes.

The word came after waiting six times as long as we were promised that I was finally going to be on my way home.

Why the hoopla over "these" folks?

I was expecting some celebrity or sport figure to be the reason for the hold up.

Just get their butts in a seat and let's hit the gas I thought.

The attendant came back on the speaker to announce in a loud and excited voice that we were being joined by several U.S. Marines returning home from Iraq!!!

Just as they walked on board, the entire plane erupted into applause.

The men were a bit taken by surprise by the 340 people cheering for them as they searched for their seats.

They were having their hands shook and touched by almost everyone who was within an arm's distance of them as they passed down the aisle. One elderly woman kissed the hand of one of the Marines as he passed by her.

The applause, whistles, and cheering didn't stop for a long time. !

When we were finally airborne, I was not the only civilian checking his conscience as to the delays in "me" getting home, finding my easy chair, a cold beverage and the remote in my hand.

These men had done for all of us and I had been complaining silently about "me" and "my" issues I took for granted the everyday freedoms I enjoy and the conveniences of the American way of life.

I took for granted that others had paid the price for my ability to moan and complain about a few minutes delay to "me" while those Heroes were going home to their loved ones.

I attempted to get my selfish outlook back in order and minutes before we landed, I suggested to the attendant that she announce over the speaker a request for everyone to remain in their seats until our heroes were allowed to gather their things and be first off the plane.

The cheers and applause continued until the last Marine stepped off and we all rose to go about our too often taken for granted everyday freedoms.

    I felt proud of them.

I felt it an honor and a privilege to be among the first to welcome them home and say "Thank You for a job well done."

I vowed that I will never forget that flight nor the lesson learned. I can't say it enough, THANK YOU to those Veterans and active servicemen and women who may read this and a prayer for those who cannot because they are no longer with us.

    GOD BLESSAMERICA!

WELCOME HOME! AND THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!!!!

This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq.

  4. Kickass! Is that a 76'? Need a side view bro!

Sweet man! The SVO's would hit over 140 with that setup if I remember right.

I used to have a hopped up 2.3 in my first Cobra. It was fun but now it's on the bottom of Beaufort Harbor helping keep my brother's sailboat moored down and hurricane proof.

Hey you don't by any chance need a header for that do ya?

The mustang is an 86 the engine is out of an 88 turbocoupe. I plan on taking some more pictures of the car this weekend. She aint much to look at right now but shes solid and was only $800. Soon Im going to change it to 5lug and upgrade to 4 wheel discs.

What kind of header you got? Can you send me pics?

  5. NOW its completely done! :super: No more mods needed for this one. I got my PSOP Scope today and with my new Flash hider it all looks sweet. I call it the Ghetto-nov. Poor mans dragunov hehe.

how do you like your scope I'm looking to get one of thoose with the range finder in the scope wondering how well they work

I like it. It fits the gun. its clear and has rangefindinging on it and an illuminated retical.

  6. Well I got my stock. Had some trouble getting it to fit right but its good quality and it looks sweet. I actually had to get the dremel out and do some grinding. But I got it too go. I dont blame the stock I'm guessing every High point metal cover is a bit different.

    :super::super::super::super:

I ordered it from Centerfire Systems because they were the only ones who had it right now. Was a bit more expensive but Oh well.

  7. I trying to find a draganov style skeleton stock with cheek rest and a pistol grip who offers these that fit the saiga and what do the cost mine has the standard stock with just two screw holes

To use a drag type stock you will need to convert the gun back to its intended form. Meaning you will have to move the trigger group back to the original nonsporting location. There are many tutorials on this site. I recommend the Choate stock. It has the best quality and looks the best as far as im concerned. Here is my 7.62x39 with the Choate:

Not entirely true. THe Russians have made us a SVD tyled stock that does not require any modifications to the weapon at all. We are hoping to have them here in June.

ok at this time there are none and with a russian stock it makes it more difficult to meet 922r. Besides that they dont look very good.

  8. Using some light Winchester "AA"'s on the #2 setting my new toy won't eject the empties?? Full load ammo on #1 throws the empties about 5 to 6 feet to the right and forward but the "AA"'s just ain't working. Is this normal?? What IS the lightest load these should use reliably?

    Thanks!

Is the gun brand new? Sometimes it takes a bit of break in before they will shoot light loads. Also make sure that everything is lubed and if its not new that the gas ports are clear. I have heard good things about moly lube. Do you have a buffer installed? I have heard that someimes they will effect cycling.

Other than that I havent heard of many other things to do except opening up the gas ports a bit.

Subject: Hi point Carbine ATI Stock

Hello I recently placed an order with you for an ATI stock for my Hi Point Carbine. I recieved confirmation Emails saying it would be shipped out around April 28. I unfortunatly had my hard drive fail and lost the emails with my order number. I happened to be in my account and noticed the money I paid had been returned to me. Is there a problem with the orders? I really wanted the stock and you guys have the best deal that I have found.

    Please explain whats going on.

    Thanks in advance

  11. I set the gun in a padded gun vise and drive 'em off from the inside with a 1/2" dowel. Works on all the AK's I have... :smoke:

Where did you place the dowl? On the bottom of the stock inside where the bottom storage cap comes off?

Did you remove all 3 screws? There is one under the top cover.
