  1. You didn't ask them to install original AK FCG with select!ve f!re, did you? I got RSA FCG for my PSL and I like it very much (installed myself). I am now doing conversion on my Saiga with G2 double hook--need to drag my @ss away from computer to finish the job. Related post is here.
  2. Any chance you could provide some data for your rifle? Either a spread reported in manual or (better yet!) range results? My toy is currently down due to "slower-than-expected" conversion process
  3. [scratching his head] What's the point of "hunting carbine" in 5.45 caliber? 7.62X54 is much better (IMHO) since Vepr'/SVD are now virtually non-existent and PSL-54C is quite pricey ;-)
  4. Being an owner of both Saiga and PSL I'd say op's request is a wishful thinking. Saiga has weaker receiver, shorter barrel, more slop of the internals. I have side-by-side pictures here. If you want relatively cheap accurate semi-auto, get PSL or Vepr'.
  5. Mine is 16" barrel; manual says 104mm spread at 100m (3.9 MOA) With the scope borrowed from PSL-54C my best 5-shot group at 50 yards is a little bit worse than 1 inch the second best group is almost twice as bad: Looks like factory data is about right. I used Wolf HP "Military Classic" ammo, purchased at JGSales.
  6. The barrel on my Saiga is not threaded--I don't think stock AK FSB would help unless you can make 14LH threads yourself. On the other hand, the recoil on Saiga is nowhere near big guns shooting 7.62x54R--it's a pleasure to shoot "as is" compared to PSL-54C or (gosh!) Mosins
