I'll chime in too, as a newbie here. At one time I had a lot of factory knives, now just a few customs.. a Mick Strider custom NM gring recurve SnG, A terrific Tom Mayo recurve TnT with 6K blade, A Rick Hinderer XM-18, A real nice Tom Krein pocket Bowie with 6K blade, and some factory stuff too. A couple of rare factory Emerson Commanders and a Microtech DE Ultratech. Plus some miscellaneous others.. They all get carry time, some in blue jeans and some are dress up knives. Hi, I'm a newbie too. Ordered an SGL-10 and picking it up tomorrow. If I understand correctly the forearms already have AK retainers and stocks. Te rear will have to be converted to fit a pistol grip and stock. Here's a link to some instructions, http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/index.htm As far as the FCG I'm not too sure, I think the Arsenal SGL-10 already has the correct FCG. But I could likely be wrong. Do a search here and online and you'll find lots of answers. Good luck!
