  1. The neat thing about apocalyptic prophecies is that they tend to be specific enough to pull you in and vague enough to fit most time periods. But most people miss the real purpose of such tales. Always prepare for the worst because it is ever and always just around the corner. Be it a Viking invasion, dictatorial regimes or natural disasters. Localized or worldwide, the threat is ever present. And like any fight, we're not gonna come out of it unscathed, but we can make it through.

But that's just my Heathen opinion, lol.

  2. We have the Rugers at work. People look at them but they are not hoping of the shelves.

I'm looking at a SAR 1911 Doublestack now but at $1100 it won't be anytime soon.

I carry and compete with a Taurus pt145 and love it. Probably 800 to a thousand rounds through it and no issues. Except that it's hard to find accessories that fit on the short rail.

    Good luck.

  3. I run a Husqvarna ZTR on three acres of mostly hillsides. Had the left side tranny unit go out right after the warranty died, the deck tended to bend easily till I yanked the under plate off and other odds and ends that have made it somewhat of a money pit. I loved their chainsaws but I've been rather disappointed with it. That said, I don't coddle equipment either. I've a new Poulon Pro chainsaw(made by Husqvarna) that didn’t survive warranty which was to replace an 18" Wild Thing that got me through 3 36"x40' deadfalls and alot more smaller stuff during and since Hurricane Ike. They did at least replace it.

    Good luck.

  4. Something like a couple deadbolt plates and a small block of wood under them may work. Also your local hardware shop should have some sort of small anvil. I used the horn of my 125#er but a secured small one should work as well. Maybe even a thick steel rod clamped to a table. The problem with anything round will be balancing. An extra set of hands would help or wood block, even books stack at both ends just so everything sits stable.

  5. Thanks guys. Siminov is correct, the idea is to make it a multi mission shotty capable of using everything from 3" magnums to less than lethals as well as eliviate the issue of getting the charging handle in the face while shooting left handed. Also if for some reason the gas ports clogged, the pump action could still be utilized. Basically it will be just as shown with an arm up the side from the AFG back to a lug in the bolt carrier. The AFG will slide on a blank p-rail with a spring loaded button to hold it forward and back.

Yeoldetool, I thought about that, am trying to avoid barrel attachments. It may be my best option though. I think I may be able to cut slot in the shelf the light sits on and use a low profile scope ring.

  6. Ok, this is the latest version of my bullpupped S12. The stock is 1/8" aluminum tubing and overall, weighs in at about 9#. I've gone with an external cable trigger linkage(actually off an old weed eater). The red dot and irons co-witness. A Tac-47 Auto plug that runs low to high brass and magnums without a hitch. I do need to come up with a better light mount but I love where it's at. I have one more mod in mind, to do a "pump" style charging system. Here's a few pics and I'll post more as I get them.

  7. Nice. I think that's the first Dragunov S12 I've seen. I like that look alot.

I've been using the Winchester rifled slugs in mine. Sighted in so far to 25yrds(should be on at 100yrds according to the charts +/-) but I'm hunting deer and hopefully spring turkey soon as well as compete in a not so local scenario 3gun competition. So not a dedicated gun.
