  1. "...drops 3 deg when I walk into a room"

    LOL, I love that.

"Just as my ancestors did after the Christian Berzerker was the only one who passed through the fire unscathed....."

Umm, I had heard it a bit different, but the result was the same. Iirc, Under Christian rule, Berserks were outlawed altogether. Poor guy sealed his own fate and likely that of his like decendants.

My point is not that Christianity is a bad thing, it was after all Heathen power mongers that found IT useful to consolidate their rule. Just as the symbols, etc of Heathenry were corrupted by Hitler, so too, was early Christianity corrupted by those seeking greater power.

"I have never "Pushed" my religion on anyone.... unwilling warriors make bad warriors..."

I never said YOU did, and I am sorry if I may have implied that. I sometimes speak too generally when I should be more specific. My apologies.

"In the Viking city of Hedeby Christians and worshippers of Odin and Thor were living side by side. The Christians had their cross, the pagan Vikings decided to use Thor's hammer as their symbol. In Hedeby you could buy both at the jewellers' shop."

EXACTLY, and this is the way it was through much of Northern Europe from the first contact. However as Christianity grew in power, the "Church" began mandating edicts stating that Christians could not deal with Heathens unless that Heathen was "Primesigned", thereby declaring that he was interested in becomeing Christian. And even that was done away with later. I think this is called economic coersion?

Again it is not the individual Christian or even the Faith itself that is problamatic, but some of those in charge being corrupted by the power, if not corrupted already. And this can occur in ANY religion.

"Where the hell do you think Santa came from????"

Yes and the "Christmas" tree and Yule Wreath, etc, etc are all North European. Many of the old ways were adopted into todays Christianity, and every ethnic group adds it's own little touches.

Ok, you converted, may I ask from what? At any rate, if you have found something that works for you, GREAT! I mean that.

Christianity NEVER worked for me. Great stories, fair historical acurraccy. But from my first day of Sunday school, I had the nagging question of "Why is there only one(god)?" Some of the responses I got were anything but nice or even well thought out. Others were better, but still not quite making sence. Took me most of 20yrs to come Home to my Ancestors via Odin and the Runes. I touched on alot of other faiths on the way, Native American and Shinto being close but not quite there. Not "mine". I would image how you felt when you came to Jesus was much akin to how I felt when I came Home.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Jesus, not for the religion that came from his Disciples, but for what I believe he was trying to do for HIS people(not the world). But those are my opinions, for what they're worth, lol.

If you would like to continue this, perhaps we should start a different thread. Or feel free to Email me. Though that can sometimes lead to "He said/He said" issues.

  2. I'm surprised the Marines among us haven't chimed in on this one. Looking at the etymology, it clearly comes from the Latin "fidelis," meaning loyal or faithful, with a negative prefix. So its literal meaning is "one who is disloyal or unfaithful," and has come to mean "one without religious faith."

    Yeah, I own that, too!!!

    Semper INFidelis!

    DSC00795.jpg

And remember, the stupid redneck crusader not only wares...... but makes the shirt, & moderates the board LOL!!!

In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti.

I guess I'm not as self righteous as a heathen...

But then again... I never heard of the heathen Crusade... LOL!!!!

LOL, YOU added stupid. There is a reason I said we were the original Rednecks; Family, Values, Faith, our biggest difference is our veiws of the divine. You don't like the Moslem incursion(me niether) but now you know what OUR preChristian Ancestors felt. Having anothers religion pushed onto to you is never pleasant and should be fought tooth and nail. I'm with ya, just remember that.

And did you never hear about the 300+ years of the Viking Age? We've all had our bloody past. Unfortunately, monotheism lends itself quite easily to power mongers wanting to consolidate their authority. Not that it's the religions fault.

"He who controls the Divine, controls the masses." It's alot easier when there is but ONE faith system.

BTW, I like the shirts, but for me it's not really accurate, lol.

  3. As I see it, people wear the T's and call themselves Infidel so as to "piss off" Islamics, since that is what they tend to call anyone that is not Moslem, or at least thats according to our media. However it was first used during the Crusades by the Christians speaking Latin as stated above. So I tend to get a kick out of some Christian Rednecks(no offence to anyone here) wearing the T, thus calling himself a nonbeliever, lol. They believe in the same god, just different versions out of different books, based on the same original book from one single tribe, not related to the others, lol.

As a Polytheist and a tru modern Heathen, If I want to upset the Moslems I prefer the term Mushrikeen(sp) meaning, roughly, Believer in many (false, to them) Gods. But this can be a bit dangerous as Islam seems to hate us more than "People of the Book" ie Christians/Jews who are usually at least tolerated. Less than a handful of Polytheist live in the Arabic world, I'm told and if I understand correctly, that is in Saudi Arabia where they tend to be veiwed as a curriosity more then a threat to Allah.

Overall, I prefer Heathen, even over Pagan, because it is more geolinguistically correct, being of the Germanic Language base. Like Pagan(Latin-Pagus, Country Dweller/Bumpkin), it was origanally a derogatory term used by early "Metropolotin" Christians meaning "one who lives on the Heath" or Country dweller. Yes, Pagans and Heathens were the original Rednecks, "clinging to our Swords and Religion" against the Christian onslault.

Funny how what goes around, comes around, lol.

    US Army - 5th Military Police Co./5th Inf. Div.(Mech) - '84-'86

Tested on ASVAB high enough to go Helio Crew Cheif(Warrent Officier) but took the E2 and a .45 on my hip  . And that was after blowing off the Math portion of the test and sleeping for 30mins. Got out an E4.

Volunteer Graham Co. AZ Sheriff's Search and Rescue - Tracker, EMT, Cave and Verticle Rescue, etc. - '87-'94

    U.S. Forest Service - Trail/Inmate Crew Cheif/Fire Fighting - '92

Wanted to go Ranger/SF- CIA. Left Mititary with a preganant wife and transfer freeze of 3 more yrs at Ft. Polk, LA. Not a chance in hel.

Raised a baby girl(dumped the wife) and continued to serve locally. Miss the Military, but not the stupid shit/busy work. Now shoe ponies for a living and doing better all the time.

And yes the Black Beret thing was BS politics at its worst.

Worry gains you nothing, though usually allows other adversaries to blind side you. Stay positive.

When rage grips you(and it will) find an outlet, but NOT those that are there for you. A heavy bag or simple physical labor are great de-stressers.

  6. That was one of the big worries when we marched on the capital in Columbus OH, before the CCW went into effect. We had over a hundred men and women all carrying openly. Drew alot of attention and then the CCW passed. Last track of OC after that.

Hel, In Arizona, I used to walk through Wallyworld w/ a .357 strapped to my hip, openly. Then got my CCW there, moved east and couldn't believe how backwards ass this state(OH) was, no CC at the time. Still not happy with what we got but at leat we aint Illinouis.

  7. Heilsa kinsman!

Me, I'm a Tyrsman with close ties to Volund and a few others. Odin and I have a sort of distant relationship, lol.

You gotta watch the "Skinhead/Nazi" thing, many of them(imho) are in fact NOT Polytheistic but Monotheists in disguise, honoring Odin(or some other) as the "one and only". As Polys, we can acknowledge other dieties, even honor them if the need is there, but we tend to honor our own ancestrial dieties. We can look at others faiths and say... "Hey, cool stories, but these are ours." We tend to look at ancestry beyond the last 1500 yrs. Keep in mind, I'm useing "we" meaning those that I know personally. I cannot speak for all Heathens, Polys, Etc. As Zen pointed out, there's alot of variety in all faiths.

PS- Did not mean to hijack your thread, If your Liberal friend is a tru friend, She'll be back. If not, You're better off.

  8. Let's see, the Far Right Conservatives hate my Faith(Pre Christian North European), the Far Left Liberals hate my OBLIGATION to defend my Faith/Life/Property/etc. Both want me to kneel to their version of the Devine, Hel I don't even kneel to my own!

What the hel ever happened to Moderate America? Perhaps we should get extreme ourselves and set up Death Camps for the other two extremes. What's that saying, "Common Sence ain't so common and has little of nothing to do with poitics".

PS- sorry about the vent, thanks.

  9. Thanks for all the info,

I hadn't thought about the Dragons Breath getting into the gas chamber but am worried as to if it would damage my Aluminum Chaos Wave muzzlebreak. Would be a reason to upgrade, hmm.

As for the Flechettes, those may work a bit better in a Magnum load. Been thinking about gettin into reloading. Have to feed this beast somehow, lol.

12ga grenades...I know the Mil has Antipersonel(Frag), HE, CS, and AntiVehicle. The new one sounds cool, would no longer need a spreader choke. I thought they were working on an Airial Dispersal rnd too? Has any one shot the Civilian grade grenades? Would there be any "Explosive Ordanance" restrictions to deal with and would a (?)Class III license cover that?

I have some Milspec door breachers, may have to try them on some of the logs out in my back acre.

How about the Flashbangs? I've been thinking that a couple door breachers on the locks and then a FB would be a neat way to say "Honey, I'm Home!", lol.

Saw the video, may have to try that at my friends next bonfire.

  10. I'd love to get ahold of the Mil's Frag12s but us civis have to make dowith what we can get. And I'm a bit worried about any possible "Explosive Ordanance" laws in the area. How'd the Dragons breath work for you? I have a Chaos Wave muzzlebreak and wonder if it's hot enough to damage that.

  11. I am running a two point in all of my Ak's and AR's but I am seriously considering going to a single point set up in my AK's.I have noticed that the

two point slow me down while reloading and operating the charging handle.I must admit that the single point is not the perfect sling

system it works when doing a transition but it sucks big time when moving from point A to point B.

What are you guys running on your S-12? Any recommendations?

I'm running with a lengthened 2 point, store bought, padded sling on my Bullpup. It works well but the extra length dangles a bit when snugged up tight on by back. Have thought about a single point, but it would have to anchor more forward on the gun and I'm still working that out.

  12. Ok, now that I got Thrasher up and running, I'm pondering what exotics I should get to "play with". At the gun shows locally they are selling everything from your basic buckshots and slugs to grenade and flame thrower rounds. SOoooo much potential,

But before I blow up my gun, I thought I'd ask everyone what their experiences and thoughts are. So, What "Exotic 12ga. Ammo" have you shot and what advice can you give?
