  1. This is even funnier since the factory is in Izhevsk Russia, which is about 1500 miles from Georgia as the crow flies. Not to mention that fact that the factory also makes military weapons for the Russian military. I'm sure they wouldn't invade and close down their own weapons factory, if it was in Georgia, which it ain't!
  2. I'll throw my answer in here, but it's much the same as most people that have replied so far. I have mine as a main battle rifle for the zombie uprising.

    I did it

I take any gun I fire and clean it after every use. I use oil, not grease and have not noticed any problems doing this with the Saiga (about 600 rounds so far), but again, I am cleaning it every time I use it.

    Bipod?

I just put a Shooters Ridge Rock Mount on my Saiga using the existing sling mount screw. The Shooters Ridge is a Harris knock-off for about half the price.
  5. Another good place to get Saiga mags is SaigaStock.
  6. I am new to the world of Saiga'a and this would be my first modification to one. I would like to replace the iron sights on my Saiga. I was thinking of a Mojo micro sight on the rear, but I also would like to put a thinner front sight post in. I've seen sight posts labeled as DPMS. I know these are for AR type of rifles, but I was wondering if they fit on a AK type of sight.Would these fit into a Saiga front sight assembly? If not, what standard is used on the Saiga's?
  7. I ordered one last Friday at $549 from Gilbert's Guns in Ky. This is the 308 with the 16" bbl. Including shipping and a piccatiny rail it came to $612 and will be at my FFL tomorrow.
  8. Hi, I'm new to this forum as I have just purchased my first Saiga yesterday. This is the stock .308 w/16" bbl. I don't plan on doing a conversion on it at this time, but I am wondering about putting a picitinny rail on it. Is this considered a conversion and would it then make the rifle non-922r compliant?
