  1. Is it safe to fire OOO buck 3in winchester shells in a Saiga? Has anyone tried?
  2. Ajax has this pictured as a promag. Is this another mistake on a websight or are there different style promags?
  3. Are these two different manufature mags? Promag and AGP or is one a new style promag and the other an old style promag?
  4. Are you aware of two different styles of promag because the one that the gun source sells has this in the picture on their website. That's a pic of an agp. Could they have the wrong picture with the product that is listed?
  5. Their cart doesn't work for me but the on screen shows shipping. Hmmm I could cancel my AJAX order since they are 2 bucks cheaper there... BUT shipping is cheaper at AJAX so I'd only be saving about 2 bucks overall anyway... I'd get the mags sooner... Hmmmm... Think I'll just wait, not worth the hassle to cancel over two and half bucks even if I do get them sooner. They have this in the picture on there website as a promag. Is it a promag? Are there two different styles?

  7. Is there a new and a old style promag out and if so what is the difference? The promag pictured on TGSCOM looks different from the one pictured on Dinzag Arms?
  8. I saw that TGSCOM had 10 rd promags for $27.99, but the picture looks different from the Dinzag Arms website that had them for $49.00. Are there two differnent style promags?

  10. I suppose you could take a steel screw and put it in a hollow point slug and it might have the same effect.
  11. Promags vs Surefire, which do you prefer? Which is more reliable?
  12. I thought the Surefire magazines would be great after reading about them. I got six of them on Saturday..... thank God I only opened two of the packages to test them! Loaded with five rounds each (12 round capacity) and here are the results: First mag - snapped off at the catch first or second round. Second mag - snapped off at the catch definetly the first round fired. Close up shot of both mags: Did those break with 3in shells or 2 3/4in? Was the mags loaded to capacity? Did your bolt hit the back of the mag after your first shot causing it to break?
  13. Are 3in shells loaded to full mag capacity more likely to fail in sure fire mags?
  14. Hey, that's my stovepipe! I will edit my post to correct myself. Sorry I was able to get 6x 12rd surefire mags to cycle perfectly in my Saiga all loaded to capacity. I know that AKs are hand made with low tolerances. I wonder if it is possible for differences between guns to be so great that some mags will work better than others. Could this be why we hear of problems with just about every mag out there with no real answer on which one is the best? any thoughts?

Did this damage happen when you fired your gun or from attempting to load the mag in the gu
  16. Which Saiga 12 mags are the best? Are surefire ones any good?
  17. I recently recieved a new S12, it has 3 ports with SN HO84337xx made 9 Sept 08. I inspectect the gas ports and found all of them exposted, one close to the side but has enough clearence for me to fit a pipe cleaner through. I took it to the range with the following results: 1. Shot 30 winchester 2 3/4 slugs at 50 yards using the iron sights. No misfeeds average group was 2 inches. I did have to use a hammer and drift to adjust windage, but was able to zero in 5 rounds. All rounds were fired from a 12rd sure fire mag loaded to capacity. 2. I attempted to fire some 3in winchester #6
  18. I have finished installing the Tromix DIY trigger guard and FCG. But when I tried to install the pistol grip I ran into problems. I tried to use the same Tapco SAW pistol grip from my Intrafuse Saiga T6 stock set. I assumed that the SAW grip that comes with this set is the same as the Tapco SAW grip that you can buy separatly. I noticed some differences when looking at the pictures of both grips on the internet. I tried to modify my SAW grip, but failed. I do have a individual Tapco SAW grip on the way. Are these grips different or did I screw something up? Any thoughts? Everything else w
  19. I just recieved a 19in 3 hole saiga. All port holes are visible. Out of the box, I noticed that the gas regulator plug was backed off one complete revolution and on the #1 position. Should this plug be tightened all the way. When it is tightened all the way it ends on the #1 position. Is there a reason for it to be backed off one thread? Should I tighten it all the way to engage #1 for 3in shells and #2 for 2 3/4in shells? I have not fired it yet. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
