  1. I like running lots of cheap ammo though my s12 cause I like to shoot alot . My expectations are real and my s12 runs fn awesome on all three brands of the wally world 100 round value packs because I put my research in and did what I need to do to it . I didn't pay for any parts other than an auto plug that's awesome. I've fixed others as well. Read up on the polish and profiling and gas port work

  2. Id clean the piston and that area out and do a basic gas port check while your there . You can use paperclip , o ring pick ,or dental pick and make sure they are open and not blocked . If they are not blocked or too small you should be fine with a good polishing and profile of the bolt, bolt carrier, hammer. Jemtech is right sometimes the gas ports are a problem.keep in mind the are angled .

  3. I wouldn't change springs either. I would do what I advised earlier as its the cheapest and most effective this will eliminate excessive friction that is very common on the s12. You can throw parts at it all day long and not fix the core issues . When you change springs and such you need to know what you are doing. Can cause failures , excessive wear, or make you limited on ammo choices.

  4. Don't pull the block unless you need to . pic looks good and proper i would just make sure they are not blocked i use o ring picks some use dental picks some people by using a paperclip . I don't put any kind of lube on the piston as it attracts dirt and it sticks to it.make sure you clean all oil and fouling from the piston and gas block. If you did not clean it prior to shooting it the oils may have caused your issue. They are assembled with oily substance to prevent corrosion.

  5. I would check to see if the gas ports were drilled straight down or at an angle. My opinion is that they should be angled like the factory made them to keep carbon at a minimum and direct gas flow to the piston face/ front. Some people grind the front sight bead and drill gas ports straight down which could make them entirely to large when the angled portion breaks off or blows out . I would not want one that someone performed the port work like that .It can get gunked up faster, and overgass . Some times i have to bump my factory piston out. but its usually after a session of 300-600 of wally world 100 round value packs . federal, winchester ,or remingtons . My ports are 3 factory I have done no gas work on my own . But I have pulled a few gas blocks and corrected them keeping the proper angle. This is my opinion and others may not agree.

I had the same problem with certain shells . I did the prior posted linked above and it resolved the issue . If you do it make certain you follow the directions. You need some steady hands . I am pretty certain that should fix it . Hopefully you didn't remove too much from the top .

  7. First return to original condition purchased. This is what I would do . Remove gas regulator and puck ; inspect how many gas ports there are and if they are obstructed . if obstructed what is the obstruction, = GAS BLOCK D MOD , OR NOT DRILLED CORRECT OR GAS PORT SIZE. You can use a dental pick, o ring pick or something similar w Iith a flashlight to look down the barrel if you can't feel how far it went. If the gas system appears normal i would look into polishing and profiling the hammer, bolt carrier, bolt, polishing the rails also . There are a few vendors that perform bolt carrier, bolt,,hamer profiling and polishing . Also forgot to mention if you don't shoulder it correctly you can have alot of cycling issues.

  8. put it back to how you got the gun to start. check to see what kinds of ammo cause failures with the factory magazine . Then decide if you want to have the repairs warranty covered . Many people say its not meant to fire the wall world junk but I have not personally seen any literature from izmash that states that. If you decide to do the repairs yourself it can be done so easily if you are mechanically inclined an can use Google to find certain remedies on this great forum.
