I recently purchased a surefire 12 round mag and had the same thing happen. I sent it back to surefire and within 7 days I had a new one at my front door. The first thing I noticed was that they changed the profile of the front lug, it now looks more like the 5 round factory mag. Its actually a little thinner and is tappered toward the front. I have put over 200 rnds through it without a problem.

Try 1-1/8 oz Winchester AA Super Handi-cap. They have muzzle velocity close to 1300fps with a psi of around 11,200. They work well with my s12 on setting 1 and they are fairly cheap.

I got a response from surefire mags. They said to send it back and they would replace it. Sounds like things are going to work out after all

I was using 2-3/4" win AA handicap's the round ejected fine and it dosent look like the bolt came in contact with the mag
