is it normal for a fal to feed fine out of one mag then ftf out of another? this is with federal soft point

My surplus mags that have been coated in fecal matter and setting in a dark, damp, corner of a warehouse in Romania for the last 30 years feed 100%. My AK also has, and needs no gas adjustment lol

Yes, it is normal. I've had this happen to several mags and the problem was always a weak mag spring. Ordered a bunch of new springs from DSA for a few bucks each and the problems went away for me. Hope this helps.
