  1. Visit My Website Here are the instructions I posted on another forum to easily add more weight to any hollow buttstock. Best of all, it is completely reversible.
  2. Hey, It won't be the first time I've wasted money! Ha! ha! My shooting friends say that the Saiga is a waste of money so I guess it is waste x 2.
  3. I use the Pachmayer Decelerator Slip-on pad and a blue blackjack buffer and it works fine. The blue blackjack buffer does not cause jams in my rifle. If this doesn't work buy her a 223 which will be light on the recoil.
  4. I bought the 20"barrel 7.62x39 and like it very much.Last week at the 100 yard range with open sights I was able to keep everything on the paper and most of it in the black between 11 oclock and 2 oclock about 2 inches above the bullseye.I was shooting Wolf Military Classic 124 HP ammo and did not experience any misfires or jams. I like the longer barrels on all of my rifles and the 20 works for me. I guess it depends what you plan on doing with the rifle. I'm keeping mine stock execept for a blackjack buffer and a Pachmayer Recoil slip-on recoil pad. [it also increased the pull for me]
  5. I followed step by step disassembly instructions and pictures/video and the gas tube still would not lift out by hand pressure. surplusrifle.com has excellent resources for military type rifles as well as Youtube. The zip tie suggestion makes good sense to me.
  6. I'll politely disregard this suggestion as I have field stripped numerous other Soviet GAS OPERATED RIFLES.
  7. Ok.. rotate the gas tube lever up until the plane is even, (which allows removal), and if you cannot remove the rear of the gas tube manually, use a zip-tie for mechanical assistance, (this eliminates the possibility of damaging your gas tube/upper handguard during removal). I had this problem with my SGL20, (gas tubes on these are typcially very tight), until I came up with the above solution. I appreciate the zip tie suggestion.
  8. Last evening I field stripped the rifle for cleaning but could not remove the gas tube after opening the latch on the sight bed. I tried every different angle with the lever and still could not remove the gas tube. Anyone know how to remove the gas tube without destroying the rifle or its parts? Any help is appreciated.
