  1. For sale from Arlington, VA is an FNH FiveseveN. I've been the only owner for a few years and have less than 400 rounds through the pistol. Comes with factory hard case and cleaning kit as well as 3 20rd factory magazines and a Blackhawk Serpa holster. Barrel was threaded by Tornado Tech 10x1mm right hand and was used with a GemTech SFN 5.7 suppressor with no alignment issues or baffle strikes.

Asking $1200 shipped to your FFL. Please ensure your FFL will accept a firearm from an individual before claiming that you'll take it.

USPS MO or personal check, item is cross posted. First "I'll take it" based on timestamp takes the sale.

Let me know if any other pics are needed.

    Thanks

  2. Wow, after reading this & seeing the above picture I checked my own Vepr. I was horrorified to see it worse than above- I actually have a circular indentation from the rear of the bolt slamming into the trunnion. I then checked my Saiga 12 that I've own for years & that had no markings.

I have only fired my Vepr once so far & only put 60 rounds thru it.

    45 rds of Rio buck

    10 rds of Rem Sluggers 2 3/4"

5 rds of Rem Magnum Express buck 3"

I have to take & post some pictures

That semi-circular cut in the rear trunnion is done at the factory and was not caused by your shooting. Mine was like that before I ran shell 1 through it. The cavity is there so you firing pin doesn't get peened by repeatedly smacking the rear trunnion when the bolt and bolt carrier do so.

Or so others have said/done before...

Boom, does not look that way to me...

Interesting. I haven't run any 3" through mine (never shoot 3" anyway) and haven't seen the marring as bad as in your pic. The 2 3/4" slugs and Federal bulk pack I normally shoot don't seem overly abusive, but the hotter loads would obviously impart more energy on the bolt carrier group.

I guess a long-term observation of the effects (negative or nil) on the rear trunnion is going to tell the tale.

    Thanks for the pics

  4. I would guess you'd have to take some material off the sides of the stock which enters the receiver due to the V12 having a thicker receiver compared to an AK or S12, but there have been plenty of folks who have taken AK/S12 stocks and made them fit the V12s with minor fitting. I did just this a couple of days ago with a U.S. made polymer stock originally designed for an AK. Dremel+sanding wheel on the sides and bottom of the stock until it fit in the receiver and it's good to go.

  5. IMHO better make 3 type of flash hider without inserts: cylinder (IZMASH / Molot do), half chock, full chok.

Model on the pic is dummy flash hider, do not have any advatages to short Molot muzzle attachments (full/half choke), that also has thread for Muzzle brake/ flash hider.

I assume you are referring to something like these...........they are in work as we speak.........should be ready in a couple weeks......

I'd be very interested in a product such as this. What choke models (full, mod, imp mod, etc) will these be manufactured in?

    Thanks

  7. I haven't tried that particular Centurian ammo in any of the 030's I've built but some low recoil stuff (even slugs and buck) will not cycle well. With the barrel shortened to 430mm, you are going to have to compromise somewhere. I choose to run a reduced power spring because it is cheap, effective and 100% reversible. Opening up the gas ports is like getting the first girl you ever had sex with pregnant... you better hope you're happy with your decision because there ain't no going back.

If you are real uncomfortable, put some silly putty on the rear trunnion to test the low power spring to make sure it's not hammering the crap out of the bolt carrier/trunnion with the ammo you want to use.

You need to take some better pics of that bad boy too! Mario does really good work!

I've yet to be able to take my 030 out for a range session, but has anybody with one been able to get it running with the Wally World Federal bulk pack we all know and love?

Based on what Mario said, these 030s are the same ones Brain at Red Dragun was going to bring in and he and Mario both said they could run the bulk pack birdshot.

Hopefully lelandEOD chimes in as he's worked on a few of these shotguns and can possibly shed some light on what he had to do in order to get them running on the cheap stuff.

Yes, my 030's will cycle the Federal Value Pack stuff with the reduced power spring. They will run the bird shot with the factory spring before you cut down the barrel. Once you shorten to 430mm, they need the slightly softer spring to cycle 100%. I really need to get out and take some cool 030 video.

Thanks for the info. I have a reduced recoil spring already so I'll be sure to take it along on the initial range trips for the Federal birdshot.
