  1. I have been reading up on the topic as a few of my friends have gouged the inside of their barrels with slugs and non traditional ammo. At the moment, a wrecked barrel for a Saiga 12 is a wrecked gun since replacement barrels are not available and replacement of one is not a DIY project. I stumbled across this from Kings Armory. http://www.kingarmory.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page39.html While this is great news, I have a question. If you are going to go to all the trouble to rip out the old barrel and press in a new one, would it not be possible to create some kind of threaded adapte
  2. That make since, but will all slugs and rifled slugs be lead or can you get some copper or jacked? Of is that reserved for Sabot?
  3. I just got my S12 back from being converted and it looks and shoots amazing! But I was just introduced into sluggers and sabots. I have a 24" barrel smooth bore, no choke. I can put the choke adapter in and then get a rifled choke, but does that count as a riffled barrel when most sabots says "specifically designed for riffled barrels" So if you guys could help me out that would be awesome. What is the highest velocity sabot I can shoot in the s12, and are there jacked // lead free sabots I can shoot with the riffled choke. Last thing I want to do is blow the new gun apart.
  4. OK, So I have been at the range all day and here is what I have come up with for my gun. I have an unmodified s12 24" with a promag. I picked up a case of Federal multi-purpose load 2-3/4 1200 fps 7-1/2 shot, a case of Remington sport loads 2-3/4 1200fps 8 shot, and a 4 boxes of Remington buckshot 2-3/4 1325fps 00BK. I know that that gas setting 1 is for heaver loads and 2 is for lighter loads. But since I was having Failure to Feed problems I decided to do some strong trouble shooting to get a better understating of the problem since ftf can be caused be so many different reasons.
  5. I am having some trouble with this too, I am going to film the shells failing to feed in my gun later this week so I can better analyze what is happening. I can post the video if anyone would find it helpful. But how do you correct this ?
