    It is FUCKING DISGUSTING what is going on in the 'Republican' party.  Bunch of damn liars, progressive liberals, on and on and on ....just out right shit stains on humanity.  The difference between them and Democrats...at least Democrats do what they say they are going to do...'Republicans'...sugar coat it, then do exactly the opposite....aka: LIE. 

     

    Truly fucking disgusting.  To Hell with them All!

     

    Time for special 30 day elections....call all of the republican members into the the congress and senate, and FIRE EVERY FUCKING ONE OF THEM.   Granted, there are a few like Ted Cruz that are conservatives, but they will be re-elected again.  Have each state that owns their former POS hold special 30 day elections. 

     

    I know, I know, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.  But I can dream. Damn we need term limits...so fucking bad.

    Thank you.  Yeah, the cicadas still come on, but they have been relatively quiet of late.  Just too damn hot.  As for the grass, its a battle.  May and June, my grass was perfect. Now, where it gets sunlight all day, it is dying or is already dead.  I am just trying to save what I can....it will grow back, but my bushes and trees, not going to loose them.  This winter, if you call it that, I lost 5 large bushes/shrubs because it dipped down to around 28 or so for a few consecutive days, and that did it.  During spring, when we replanted our shrubs, I made damn sure to buy stuff that was freeze tolerant. 

     

    My buddy lived in 29 Palms, and I thought he was joking about having to rake the yard.  Nope, he wasn't.  He had to rake the sand to make it look nice (base housing).  Screw that.

    Thank you.  Why ANYONE in Texas would build a home without a patio cover, I will never understand.  I am in dead-loss mode right now, trying to save my grass and bushes.  This is our 5th day of over 100 degree whether with no rain (where I live anyways) and it is taking a toll on the grass.  But trying to keep those stupid high water bills down to a manageable lever, is I fear a hopeless cause.  Good God, were not even into August yet.  Bye, bye grass.....

    I have no love for John McCain, matter of fact, quite the opposite. He is a Rhino, and saying he is 'Moderate' is a large stretch.

     

    He also went after my team (MCRD PI Drill Instructors) because some rich 'Mothers of America' was a big donor of his during a election year and didn't like how her son was treated, and called for us all to receive a courts martial (didn't happen). 

     

    Just as with Jimmy Carter, he should have retired a long time ago and kept his dignity and respect. But he didn't.

     

    So, with that said, I will always defend his Military Service, and believe me, there are those that will try to crucify that time period he served.  What he went through was unbelievable, and most men probably would have broke. He did not.

     

    When the POTUS made that stupid statement about him being a looser for being 'captured' I just about crapped blood. What an asinine thing to say.

     

    I do not wish him ill heath, and I do hope he retires, recovers from this illness, and enjoys the rest of his life with his family and friends...full of peace and happiness.

     

    He may be a lot things, but weak he is not.  He is a fighter, no doubt.  Just like he was during his service to our country.

    Thank you, but if I had the money......

     

    I finished about 85% today, but it was so hot, I couldn't even step on the shingles without possibly damaging them.  That and I swear I was singing with Elvis and Nixon, at the same time!  

    When we started this, I told my wife, I will do this One time, One time only.  That is probably the truest statement I have ever made.

    Taking the night off and we are all going to go see Despicable Me 3 in a nice, AIR CONDITIONED Theater!

    The roof can wait, not suppose to rain for another 2 weeks or so.  Yeah!

    Hope all had a happy 4th of July!  I have been building a covered patio for about 2 months now.  After work and on the weekends.  Its about 500 square feet, maybe a little bigger.  The concrete slab was already poured by the previous owners. Building the frame, was pretty much the easy part.  I have been off since last Thursday, so I could sheath and shingle the roof.  I have officially had my @ass kicked every which way possible!  From carrying the sheets of 4x8 osb to the back, and the 4 squares of shingles, the #30 felt paper (tar paper), flashing, cutting, smashing my fingers, holy crap batman!  I'm only 54 years old, but I feel like I am well past that.  But I will also admit, it is July here in San Antonio, and the Devil himself cannot be found here because of the heat!  My roofing nailer blew about every possible gasket it has, so me and the Mrs. cut the remaining coiled nails and have been using them, which isn't a big deal, just a little more time consuming.

     

    So, HATS OFF TO YOU ROOFERS!  What a tough damn job!  How you do it, on a day to day basis, I can't even guess. 

     

    Off to take my 800 Motrin and get ready for the remainder of hell day....smile.gif 

     

    Why did I do it myself?  Because I had 3 estimates to build my covered patio, none were as nice as I ended up building, and all were between $12K-$15K!  I think when I am done, I will have spent around $2K.  But I understand why people pay....

    I listen to Mark Levin on the way to work and home most days....

    The talk station that we can clearly receive here went to some young moron in the afternoons that is worse than Kilmeade. So, I have tried many nights to get the station that I could kind of clearly receive Levin on when I lived in Jax, but no dice. I like that guy.

    Sara Barracuda is suing the liars at CNN. She has right Lawyers and a solid case.
