  1. Sorry folks, I thought I had come up with something innovative, didn't realize it had already been done and I was late to the party.

  3. So, I'm a big fan of the 5.45 cartridge, I've got an S&W M&P-15R and a Polish Tantal. When the Saiga 5.45 rifle was recently released, I took a look at the base Saiga IZ-240 and the Arsenal SGL-31. The Arsenal was too rich for my blood, but the whole conversion phenomenon with the Saiga base models piqued my interest.   4. How much of a hassle is it to Remove this thing everytime you break the rfile down for cleaning, like after every range session since I'll be shooting corrosive ammo from my 5.45?
  5. Krom, That looks great! I am picking mine up this week and I've already ordered the parts for the conversion. I am going with the CAA G27 grip and a Tapco folding stock though, just my tastes. I wonder if you are the first to convert a 5.45? Anyway, can you tell me more about how you installed a flash hider? I thought they came without threads on the end of the barrel. Also, what diameter of black pipe did you start with to fabricate the bullet guide?
